PLATFORM
I am running as an independent candidate in the municipal elections of Gatineau in the District of Mitigomijokan because things have to change. Mitigomijokan is a beautiful district, with beautiful, dynamic people, beautiful landscapes, beautiful forests, beautiful trails that deserve more attention. I am ready to roll up my sleeves to work together with all residents, seniors, youth, parents, families, communities, community organizations, neighborhood associations, entrepreneurs, artists and all parties stakeholders who contribute to the dynamism of the Mitigomijokan district to make things change.
So that the residents of Mitigomijokan benefit from the best services, the best infrastructure, the best support programs for a better quality of life.
So that the initiatives of the city of Gatineau integrate the needs and priorities of the residents of Mitigomijokan.
To promote consensual solutions shared by citizens and take decisions that protect their interests.
I would like to put an end to the closed doors meetings that exclude the residents of Mitigomijokan from matters that concern them.
Some needs in District 5 Mitigomijokan
My first consultations with the residents of Mitigomijokan allowed me to see that our parks need innovation and families are looking for more attractive parks for the development of children;
Residents want sports infrastructures adapted to the rapid growth of the population and for the development of young people.
Our residents and seniors want public transportation services adapted to population growth.
Our families need affordable and adapted housing; Our residents need better snow removal and garbage management services;
Sewage systems and related policies need to be improved. Some roads must be paved, lit and adapted to users; cycle paths must be extended;
Road safety must be reinforced in the neighborhoods, and we must improve the security of school corridors for our children;
Neighborhood associations, artists and entrepreneurs need more support and visibility.
Residents and entrepreneurs want efficient administration on urban planning issues.
This platform can be improved and will be constantly evolving.
